Archery Safety
A breakdown by AmPmInsure of the chance of youth injuries for various sports by age and gender reveals that archery is the lowest when compared with football, baseball, tennis, softball, basketball, and martial arts. Their data represent worst-case scenario probabilities because only participants with a fitness level rated “unfit” were selected. Unfit is the lowest fitness level.
Archery’s annual injury rate is less than one per 1,000 participants. Those sports with the highest injury rates were soccer, skateboarding, and basketball having annual rates between 11 and 24 injuries per 1,000 participants.
CHIA ARCHERY instructors have passed USA Archery SafeSport certification and are USA Archery Level 4-NTS and Level 3-NTS coaches. They each have over 10 years of experience instructing archery camps for kids between the ages of 8 and 21 years old. We can sign off on school's Physical Education course Waivers.
